Micronutrients

How is your body handling the food you eat? Pretty well if you're taking a multivitamin. Why's that? Because your grandma told you to? Or because your body works on the micro/atomic scale, breaking down foods into chains into atoms for energy, and needs magnesium, sodium, chloride, potassium, and calcium just to get you to breathe? And you can't breathe if you don't have oxygen, but making sure your lungs work is a whole other story. So, are you taking your multivitamin?

Affirmation #1: You will succeed.

My diet was super strict so I wouldn’t suggest it. I lost friends and time trying to learn who I was while putting in the same time twice a week cooking the same food. But now that I’ve made a decision to be more flexible and really count macronutrients, not calories either, my life has been a huge rollercoaster that tumbles when school and work and family stress me out (Emotional Eating 101) and shines bright when I have a few extra hours to actually count macros before the day starts (I like routine). It turned out to be a very good strategy. I was able to meet a lot more people in passing, and when we smiled or laughed my entire mood was lifted and I felt less tired.     I enjoyed my time immensely. I attended the Volunteer Summit which taught me a lot about how t
